Description
Boggle is a popular, scrabble like word game, first produced by Parker brothers in 1972. The game uses a 4x4 tray, and 16 dice. Each die however contains not numbers, but letters. At the start of a game of boggle, the dice are shaken over the tray, leading to a 4x4 grid of randomly generated letters. Players then have a time limit to try and discover as many words as possible by linking the letters together horizontally, vertically and diagonally. Of course, players can go in any direction when linking letters, so long as the letters are adjacent to each other, so for example, if A1 was a c, A2, an H, B1 an A and C1 a t, these could be linked together to form the word "chat."
The object of the game is to find as many, and as long words as possible. Though the spoonbill version doesn't come with any computer opponents to play against, it does contain the option of playing with or without a time limit, a full in built scrabble dictionary to tell you what words are, and are not allowed, and even the ability to add the letters in manually (useful if your playing along with a sighted friend who has the physical boggle set).
With some great high contrast options, background music, comprehensive instructions, and self voicing with Microsoft Sapi, BG Boggle is a perfect way to scramble, (or should that be scrabble), your brains, and practice your word making skills
