Description
BG Yahtzee is a self voicing, free, single player version of the popular strategical dice game.
Nicknamed "the yacht game", by a Canadian couple who played it while sailing, Yahtzee is a point scoring and number management game which has been popular since the 1950's. The game is played in 13 rounds. Each round, a player first rolls five dice. By choosing which dice to reroll and which to keep on the second and third throws, the player gets a total to achieve a total. which the player must choose to add into one of 13 scoring Categories, including full house, three ones, or four of a kind. Since, each category can only be rolled once , and a player must put a in one category each round (even if that total is a zero), things become more difficult as the game progresses, especially considering that achieving some of the seemingly lower categories can get a player a significant bonus.
With both good luck, and good management taking a hand, this game can be surprisingly addictive.
As with all spoonbil games, BG Yahtzee is self voicing via Microsoft Sapi, with high contrast options, background midi music, comprehensive instructions and a scorboard to challenge yourself. It's also conveniently absolutely free as well.
