the popular American team sport of Baseball now comes to your PC courtesy of Jim Kitchen, . When your team's up to bat, press the control key when the sound of the ball being thrown is three quarters of the way across to the right speaker. Depending upon how you do, you'll either score bases or give the batter an unpleasant injury! Various different baseball pitches with different sound effects and speeds makes scoring runs quite a tricky business.

When your up to pitch, use the number keys to choose both the pitcher, and the type of ball he/she will throw. Strategical choice and your team managing skills here is the key.

Sinse the game uses Microsoft Sapi for much of it's output, many things are customisable, you can name your own teams, and even edit the appropriate text files for player names, ---- so if you've always wanted to see Luke Skywalker of the Rebellion up to bat against Darth Vader of the empire, ---- now's your chance!

In typical Baseball style, commercials will play after each inning, ---- and you might even catch a certain well known Springfield resident glugging down a can of Duff beer while watching the game.

For anyone (probably living outside the us), not familiar with the sport of Baseball, the game also has a baseball rules file which may be read by Sapi before you begin, and there's even a separate batting practice program so that you can get familiar with the various pitches and how to hit them before taking on the big leagues.

As all of Jim’s games install into the same folder you’ll need to install The winkit installer found here, which also adds many of the visual basic dependencies necessary to run not only Jim’s games, but many other’s on modern Windows, though if you have those already you can just download the above file.

Jim Kitchin sadly passed away on August the 2nd, 2015. To learn more about the late great Jim Kitchin and his vast collection of games, you can Visit the Kitchinsinc page on the Audiogames archive site Which also contains one giant installer so that you can get all of Jim's games in one handy package. Goodbye Jim, you will be sorely missed.
