Welcome to the newer, faster, nastier and now Sapi accessible, highly updated version of Jim Kitchin's original classic racing , Mac 1 see index.
Apart from using Microsoft sapi and working through the standard Kitchinsinc menu program, there is nothing about this game didn't also get massive updates, better sounds, more tracks, more options for racing such as setting number of laps, ---- and above all, some of the most realistic and fine tuned controls yet seen in audio games.
The controls in fat are so realistically sensitive, ---- reflecting as they do you zooming around various racing tracks at 225 mph, that they actually make some tracks incredibly hard to play on a standard keyboard, and thus a modified control, ---- especially a steering wheel, is most certainly recommended for this game should you have one.
Nevertheless playing on the keyboard is possible, ----- though you won't achieve half as good times as some one with a racing wheel, and the sheer amount of options and realism in this game make it incredibly rewarding to play however badly you do. The game is also, ---- like all of Jim's other offerings, completely and entirely free as well.
As all of Jim’s games install into the same folder you’ll need to install The winkit installer found here, which also adds many of the visual basic dependencies necessary to run not only Jim’s games, but many other’s on modern Windows, though if you have those already you can just download the above file.
Jim Kitchin sadly passed away on August the 2nd, 2015.
